INGREDIENTS

  • To Be Blended Into A Smooth Cottage Cheese Mixture
  • 1 cup low-fat paneer cubes
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • few saffron (kesar) strands dissolved in 4 tbsp low-fat milk (99.7% fat free)
  • 1 tsp cornflour

For The Fruit Filling

  • 1 cup sliced apple
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
  • a few drops lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

For the fruit filling

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Arrange the fruit in a greased 150 mm. (6") diameter pie dish.

How to proceed:

  • Spread the cottage cheese mixture over the fruit and bake in a pre-heated oven at 220°c (440°f) for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
